Statement

Over the last 25 years I have been painting local scenes around Leamington Spa  and Warwick using watercolour and gouache. I also paint abstracts sometimes using acrylics. I have several paintings done a while ago in pastels.  I am inspired by nature, sunlight, water, skies, old buildings and gardens.

I trained as an art teacher many years ago but have followed another career since, and now my technique is self taught. I have had a number of commissions to paint people’s houses and gardens, and I am interested in a detailed accurate representation of what is beautiful.

I also enjoy experimenting with abstract ideas.
