Statement

"In all of my works, be it in photography, paintings or drawings, I want the viewer to experience a story, without being told any of the words. Literature, and the sharing of stories throughout the ages has always fascinated me, as did anything surreal, supernatural or otherwise out of the ordinary.

This shows through in my educational path in the Netherlands, which has led me from the AKI Art College in Enschede (currently part of the ArtEZ group) - to the University of Nijmegen, to study religions and then to the University of Utrecht, to study medieval literature concerning the afterlife. After straying for a few years in various so-called 'proper' jobs I moved to the UK with my partner, became a photographer, started painting again, and do not intend to look back."
