Heather grew up and studied on the west coast of Scotland. She is a contemporary Mixed Media artist working mainly with Acrylics and has a studio in Shipston-on-Stour in Warwickshire.

The inspiration for her paintings comes from her Scottish roots and her fascination with the marks which nature and man have sculpted into the landscapes and seashores at home and in her travels abroad.

Her style tends towards heavily textured Acrylics, using a limited palette with semi-abstract shapes and vibrant colour, trying to balance the emotional and thoughtful response to what she sees and feels.
